THE CONDUIT
The Underworld Adventures – Book One

Copyright 2016 Jeff Comer, Jr.

Robby is just a normal 14 year old boy who thinks he is going to his junior high school ball to whip up the courage to ask a girl, his dream girl Kay, to dance. Boy is he wrong.

During the dance, Robby is blasted with a searing pain, knocking him to the ground in font of everyone. While on the floor, Robby sees a fire burning large in the middle of the dance floor. In the flames the image of his deceased mother emerges. She warns him that he is in great danger. This warning starts a chain of events, throwing Robby unwittingly into a world he did not know existed. A world of native American mythology, danger, and adventure.

As the chain unfolds, Robby survives a strange accident, that turns out to be no accident, and wakes to find himself on the Hopi Indian Reservation. He learns from an elder medicine man that he possesses a rare and special gift. Robby has the ability to be a Conduit for others to escape from the underworld. And this gift makes him a target of those who want to use him for evil.

Because of this gift, Robby must venture to the underworld to rescue a Goddess and his own sister who have been abducted by the evil God, Skeleton Man. If Robby is not successful, Skeleton Man will destroy everything Robby cares about and wreak havoc on earth.

No pressure…

Robby is accompanied on his adventure by two classmates from Robby’s school, Kay, the girl of his dreams, and Niv, the bully who has always picked on him.

Through their adventure, Robby, Kay, Niv, and their loyal terrier mutt, Max, learn the importance of friendship, trust, and courage. They must overcome the many creatures and dangers waiting for them in the underworld. They must face an internal struggle of feeling used and abandoned by the very Gods who sent them. And they must do all of this while sorting through the normal dramas of growing up.

The Conduit is the exciting, action-packed first book in a series, The Underworld Adventures.
